Frequently Asked Questions
The Q7 Pro Max uses a Dual Anti-Tangle System (all-rubber dual brushes and a specialized side brush). Rubber brushes are vastly superior to traditional bristles for pet hair, meaning hair naturally migrates to the ends of the rollers rather than tangling in the middle. You will still need to pop off the end caps of the rollers every few weeks to slide off the gathered hair rings.
How often do I actually need to maintain the parts?
Dust bags: Replace every 7–9 weeks (or when full).
Washable filter: Rinse under cold water every 2 weeks and let it air dry for a full 24 hours before reinstalling. Replace every 6–12 months.
Sensors & Contacts: Wipe down the drop sensors and charging contacts with a dry cloth once a month.
Brushes: Check for tangles monthly; replace every 6–12 months depending on wear and tear.
Can I use the Q7 Pro Max+ on multiple floors of my house?
Yes. The robot features multi-level mapping and can save up to 4 distinct floor plans. You do not need to buy a second charging dock for the other floors. Simply carry the robot upstairs, place it on the floor, and press the power button. The LiDAR sensor will spin, automatically recognize which floor it is on, and load the correct map—including all your saved No-Go zones and room settings.
How much maintenance does the robot need?
After Every Mopping Run
Mop Pad: Remove and wash the reusable cloth mop pad. If left damp against the robot, it can develop mildew and bad odors.
Water Tank: Empty any leftover water to prevent buildup over time.
Dock Maintenance
Every 7 to 9 Weeks: Replace the 2.5L dust bag inside the dock. The dock will seal the dirt in the bag, so you can just pull it out and throw it away without a dust cloud. (Note: If you have heavy-shedding pets, you might need to swap this out closer to the 4-week mark).
Monthly: Flip the dock over and check the clear plastic air duct underneath. Make sure no large debris (like a receipt or a clump of pet hair) has clogged the evacuation path.
Monthly: Wipe down the charging contacts on the dock with a dry microfiber cloth so the robot can charge seamlessly.
Is it powerful enough to clean carpets and deep dirt?
Yes. The robot delivers up to 13,000 Pa suction power. This allows it to lift embedded dust, debris, and pet hair from both hard floors and carpets.
